Some documents should only be opened by the right people, and some details should never leave your hands.
Passwords and permissions
Set an opening password so only people who know it can read the file, and optionally block printing or copying text.
Real redaction
Drawing a black box over text in many editors only hides it — the words are still underneath and can be copied. PDFinator's Redact tool flattens the area so the hidden content is permanently removed from the exported file.
Before you share
Search the document for names, ID numbers, addresses and account details, redact them, and export a fresh copy rather than sending the original.
