Why PDFs get big
High-resolution photos and scans are the main cause. Text and vector drawings take very little space.
Compressing
Compression lowers image resolution and quality to a level that still looks good on screen or in print. Choose a lighter setting for printing and a stronger one for email.
Converting
Export each page as JPG, PNG or WEBP for presentations and websites, or as a Word document or plain text when you need to keep editing the words elsewhere.
