Annotating PDFs with industry-standard symbols

An annotation is anything you add on top of a document to explain it. The clearest annotations use symbols your readers already know.

Why symbols beat words

A camera icon on a floor plan, a 'sign here' flag on a contract or a proofreading caret in an essay is understood instantly, in any language, and takes far less space than a written note.

Complete, consistent sets

Mixing clip-art from different sources makes a document look messy and confusing. PDFinator's collections are complete sets drawn in one style for each field, so every mark on a page belongs together.

Keep the original readable

Every symbol is a transparent image, so the plan or text underneath stays visible. You can recolour symbols black, blue, red or green to separate existing items from new ones, or one trade from another.

Add a legend automatically

When you export, PDFinator can add a legend listing only the symbols you actually used, so anyone receiving the file knows what each mark means.
